Why?
A lot of dvds are available to download, here and there, just do a little research... I'm not talking about purely impossible to get dvds, the collectors most treasured items. They will make sure you won't get them or they'd lose their bread or satisfaction... whatever
My question is, and I am very disturbed by this... WHY some people rip availbale dvds and create poorer quality files to distribute them later? Don't tell me there's no difference between a dvd and mpg file? Huge difference... The poor quality gets distributed all over internet, ruining experience for everybody in a year or so, when the dvd will not be available for download.
At this point I simply cannot upload anything due to my connection speed. So don't tell me I should shut up coz I don't upload. When I could I was. And I hope I will again when I can afford faster connection.
So tell me why? Is it becasue they are too lazy to pack whole dvd and upload it? Sure it is easier to upload 800MB than 4GB... But do they ever think what damage they do to fans in the very near future? Who cares, right? Let's feed future "traders" - they will have everything again and you, yes you, will have nothing. _________________ Gahan/DM forum |

It's true... But you know what pisses me off much more? That there are people like traders out there, who have a lot of Depeche Mode stuff and TRADE it only. Say, I don't have that much to offer, but I still share what I got and what people ask me to. Those guys keep everything to themselves like if someone else will have something from them, they will never be able to fall asleep... _________________ STAY DEPECHED AND KEEP MODEING!!! |

I'm sorry but my connection upload speed is 10kbps and it takes between 3 and 4 hrs uploading one part, so I change the format to avi (which is much better than mpg).
If you want your videos in a dvd then get a DVD converter, it takes around 15min to create DVD with nice menus.
Thank you all for your effort and generosity!!! _________________ The forum of DM downloads

Unfortunatelly, I'm not participating that much in sharing lately. The thing is that my wife went back to college, and I'm working + working on my solo album at the moment. But speaking of Depeche Mode DVD's, all I can say that those people, who don't share what they have just suck!!! I still have my bootleg list uploaded, so, if there's someone who needs something, they can always ask me to upload something... _________________ STAY DEPECHED AND KEEP MODEING!!! |

| It is truth that exists many people who interchange material and they are dedicated exclusively to this, but depends much on each one in wanting the version mpg or the original version in DVD... What I do generally, is to lower the archives in mpg, them passage to DVD including many bonus and if exit the original DVD, low it and already is in... In many of the cases also it depends on the speed with which they count to sail in Internet... To my it does not problem in anything this to me, so that equal if I have something I can share, because simply I do it... |

No, thank you. I want best quality not something washed out. If people who want to share have a slow connection and are so determined to share, they always can ask someone else to do that for them. I saw it done, in places where people care about quality.
I will never be converting poor quality mpg into a dvd.
My connection is good now, I could upload, but I see not too much of a point to do so coz someone will take it, convert it to something crappy and "share" in their so-called generosity.
@D-Votee, I agree, but that's a different issue. Most traders collect their dvds just for the sake of collecting and boasting around as I see the problem.
Perhaps some of them would come over here and explain themselves? I know at least one Polish trader comes here. _________________ Gahan/DM forum |

using a free software like 7-zip for example, you need to pack the files you want to upload together. If they are larger than upload limits of rapidshare.com or megaupload.com (or any other host) you also need to tell your 7zip (other archive creator) to divide the zipped file into chunks. Then go to your host of choice and upload following their instructions. _________________ Gahan/DM forum |
