I went last night to see the Australian Pink Floyd Show. I've never seen the real Pink Floyd live so I really can't compare but this was incredible!!!
Beautiful Lights, Images, Music!!! You must go if you even like pink floyd a little. |

Last concert (and a great one imo) was Kraftwerk in AB Brussels. Very nice sound and lightshow. Hardly can wait for the live-DVD coming out in a few weeks.
Other great concert, Genesis (Werchter during I Can Dance Tour)
Worst concert : Sisters of Mercy in Deinze (2003) - very bad sound and visibility. |

* Scorpions (German 80s heavy rock band) in Singapore ;
* Deep Purple in Singapore (National Stadium) - Richie Blackmore's guitar broke so Jon Lord took over his part for Smoke on the Water ;
* Depeche Mode in Singapore - saw the generation gap when all the teens cheered for the new songs and sat thru the old songs, all the 30-somethings cheered for the old songs and sat thru the new songs!
* Atari Teenage Riot in Boston - lots of stage diving
* Duran Duran in Boston - sound system failed for last song Rio, but the audience sang the whole song for them! _________________ http://eml.uzyn.com |

| other than seeing Depeche in Atlanta on this recent tour, the best show would be when I saw Tori Amos back in April. my favorite song of hers is a song called Cooling. that song has been around through so many changes and events in my life. its probably one of my favorite songs of all time. i had seen her 4 times prior to this show. and she had never played it each time i'd seen her. so in April, in Atlanta, i was at my 5th Tori show. i had almost given up hope of ever hearing this song live. and then i heard the opening notes of that song. i felt my heart stop. it was so amazing to finally hear it live. because that song means so much to me. i just started crying. i'm weird like that i suppose. but that was definately one of the greatest shows i've ever seen. |

allow me to play a reverse card here. talk of tori reminded me of my worst gig moment. It is my worst gig moment because I didn't go. I had a chance to see Kate Bush in the mid-nineties. I should have gone.
seeing tori without seeing Kate Bush would have been like seeing any decent alternative/indie rock band without seeing depeche. I just couldn't do it. _________________ to see. I'm not looking |

not to forget -
Howard Jones live in Singapore in 2004. Very good re-working of his old material, very current yet true to the original spirit.
ABC live in Singapore 2004 - actually just Martin Fry. Very true to the original. Surprised myself how much of the lyrics I can still remember, esp since most of it is stream of consciousness.
Go West live in Singapore 2004 - It's like the 80s never left! _________________ http://eml.uzyn.com |
