Concert for the masses was the best sure world violation and devotional brought things on a bigger and nicer scale seeing david and martin as Underdogs rile up that crowd is unbeatable I mean watch them during everything counts! I would have killed to see a show of this tour! They played nothing which is a personal favorite of mine! _________________ Ladies and Gentlemen! | I always enjoy DM live, but the Exciter Tour was my least favorite that I have seen. Exciter, in my humble opinion, was a big disappointment and the live show had a huge lull in the middle (When the Body Speaks, Waiting for the Night, It Doesn't Matter Two, Breathe, Freelove). Everyone in the arena was sitting down for at least 20 minutes until Enjoy The Silence started. I was also sad to see that One Night In Paris included another slow song (Condemnation) instead of Clean. For me it was important for DM to bounce back with a great album and they scored a bullseye with PTA. An awesome album, perhaps their best ever. |

The tours I saw were:-
Some Great Reward - Ipswich (1984)
Black Celebration - London Wembley (1986)
Music for the Masses - London Wembley (1988)
World Violation - London Wembley (1990)
Devotional - Crystal Palace (1993)
Singles - London Wembley (1998)
Touring the Angel - London Wembley (2006)
Touring the Angel - London Hyde Park (2006)
Top 3 gigs....
1) Touring the Angel - London Hyde Park (Great Atmosphere, near stage)
2) World Violation - London Wembley (Great mixes)
3) Music for the Masses - London Wembley (Near stage)

I loved the singles tour 86>98 although a lot of people slated it! God knows why. _________________ dt |

I'm just 17 years old and know the tours just from bootlegs and DVDs.
And so I could say:
Black Celebration-Tour
Devotional
WVT

Itīs hard to say because it depends on a lot of things (place, arena, people around you). I voted for Playing the angel (for me the first leg was better) cause i think it was really perfect. It was great to see how much power the band has and how much power they can give you. Every concert I saw was great.
Although i have to say the best concert for me personal was Exciter in Mannheim (the last concert on Exciter tour). I was in front row and it was really something special.
Devotional has the most power, but was near to destroy everything. The stage was really the best.
The best Dave concert i saw was in Basel. It was the first gig on this tour and i met dave after the gig in the hotel. He was so happy that everything was fine.
Not easy to say what was best but i would say: Playing the angel. _________________ Suffer Well! |
