Besides DM.... Swedish group Kent are my most favourite. If you dont know Kent... I suggest you check them out. They are self confessed fans of DM and have done their song "Stripped" live in concert. Its not as good as DM but I like it alot and their singer Jocke Berg is amazing Never let me down again

then there is
Andreas Johnson
U2
Linkin Park
Sigur Rós
INXS

Porcupine tree
Marillion
Kent (Kings of Sweden and huge DM fans)
Moneybrother

AND of course u all should give one of the biggest band of the 80´s a new chance:

SIMPLE MINDS new album is in my eyes (and ears) a really strong one!

A lot of other things go through my ears... not in preference order!

roxy music, joy division, bowie, brian eno, iggy pop, velvet underground, benjamin biolay, goldfrapp, indochine, air, the smiths, echo and the bunnymen, the kills, kaiser chiefs, editors, smashing pumpkins, cockney rebel, beatles, morrissey, bryan ferry, suede, lou reed, kasabian, futureheads, prosaics, etienne daho, a lot of baroque music, the bravery, vhs or beta, the organ, franz ferdinand, placebo, blondie, bauhaus, new order, Louis XIV, john cale, Interpol... and others!

Never let me down again

I listen to a lot of the newer Synthpop stuff. I call these bands the sons of DM.

Like Echoing Green, De/Vision, Universal Poplab, Rename etc...

Awesome Bands!!!

When I was about 14 years old I was a big fan of Duran Duran and Simple Minds. Still like them but not as much as I like DM.

Other bands I like : Front 242, Alphaville, Pet Shop Boys, Soft Cell and The Cure.
