I also like music of Tori Amos, Placebo, SOAD and Norah Jones.
The special thing about Depeche Mode is that I never got bored by their music. Try to listen to other chart hits of the 80s. Depeche is timeless.

R.E.M. used to be my favorite group, but DM is my obsession right now. As surprising as it turned out, DM music hooks me in better than the former band's (although I admire that band so much all the same). I'm also a big Lifehouse fan, enjoying a little Linkin Park and lots of Fountains of Wayne on the side.

R.E.M are actually pretty good, Losing my Religion is probably one of my favourite songs by theirs.

Has anybody heard of Tangerine Dream?

I think that without them, Electronic music would be much different then what it is today.

My faves are Front 242 , Nitzer Ebb , HOCICO , Suicide Commando , Covenant , VNV Nation and many more from the ebm / electro scene but Í´d like good Rock music too..Guns N roses ( yes! ) Placebo, U2 , Sisters , Moonspell , paradise lost , good charlotte...
