Thank you. I totally forgot about these coz I don't even have them on cd's...I used to have cassettes, but when I was moving out from my parents (we all grow up one day ) I just threw them out and never got a digital version _________________ Gahan/DM forum |

Hi! Worst or "just" bad album of DM? No way. Sure, it depends on the mode, erm, mood you´re in when listening. So for me also Exciter can be sedative and cheering up.
But as a proposal for a new album: Why don´t DM call it "Worse"? I mean "Bad" from Michael Jackson was successful in any way. So the comparative form of "bad", "worse" should be much better! Or better yet: "Worst". haha _________________ My home is my hell. - Al Bundy |

Who can imagine a worse DM album !!! maybe one that you wouldn't listen to very much but that doesn't mean it's bad or even worse...
I'd say exciter then but again there are times and moods where exciter is just perfect ! _________________ A world full of nothing |

To me Exciter is the worst...It holds a few good songs (shine, I Am You) but the rest is cheezy software sound not coming from DM...That album shows no real creativity from DM, like if someone else composed the album for them...and that was the case in a way...
Even Daniel Miller admited that album was not that good... |

Knowing DM for only 9 month I have been surprised to discover that, fm my point of view of course, they did not do any bad albums. Maybe some like Exiter, can be considered as "weaker" but even, there is a few gems in this one...

Hi everyone!
I agree, Exciter is not a bad album per se, has some good tracks but lacks coherence in my opinion. I still listen to it though!! |

Construction Time Again.
certain songs like 'Two Minute Warning' and 'And Then...' are great, but i really don't like the album.
i respect the album, because it saw a major change in DM's sound ... but like Dave once said, "i think we focused more on experimentation, and less on the songs." |

That´s simple:
Violator and Songs of Faith and Devotion
How can a band come to the idea releasing such boring crap like Violater after their 2 best albums (Black Celebration & Music for the Masses)?
And I didn´t even buy SOFAD. I wished the band to split up during those days.
Maybe Dave was to much on smack during those days to tell Martin to write good music. |

| I don't really like the first 3 albums (except for the hits), and I only like half of the songs on Some Great Reward...But from Black Celebration and onwards it's just great |

Exciter in my opinion is the worst, though i did like dream on. yes i know all you excited type, gung-ho exciter fans are gonna tell me off now.....
but let me ask you this......
who knows a thing or two about good musicianship, exciter was definetly not a good representation of that |
