Violator era for me. There was so much anticipation after 101 and that album kicked arse. Then when I went to see them live on that tour, it blew me away. Best concert intro ever!

Unfortunatley, I never really got into DM until 1989 and therefore missed out on the golden era which I would say was 1986-88. MFTM and Black Celebration are fantastic albums. I love Violator and SOFAD but I never got to see them until 1990 missing out on the classic 101 concerts.

Shame DM choose not to perform in Scotland since they made it huge in the USA.

Alan was a major loss, PTA is good, Ultra is average, but Exciter is anything but what the title implies !

Violator all the way. My only regret is that I didn't get to see the tour for that album. I've made up for it though by seeing them on every tour since!

Someone's gonna shoot me for this, but although there are several DM eras I absolutely love, I like Speak and Spell best. It was new stuff, exciting, and as dated as it sounds now it sounded futuristic back then. It was cutting edge (gulp!). Smile
