We love Depeche Mode, but do you want another album ?
Of course Playing the Angel was much better than Exciter, but that was nothing with Songs of Faith and Devotion...
I can't live without DM... _________________ fan since 1985 |

By the sounds of it you'll have to wait another 5 years for any new DM material.

You'll probably have to deal with buying more best ofs and remasters before another studio album. Maybe even some more live stuff. _________________ =] |

Just wondering about that interview Andy gave to some French music magazine and how much of reality we can expect from it. Not sure what to think of it, I'd be happy to have another Dave solo album, but if Andy says it's not in the plans and they might seriously think about DM album by the end of the next year... then
I mean, whassup, Andy? _________________ Gahan/DM forum |

I want a great album in a perfect DM-style, better than Playing The Angel, an album which can join well-produced electronics with a modern and alternative rock sound, like in SOFAD. _________________ Violation: Depeche Mode Italian Source

I think it will take a long time again.
But in the meanwhile we'll get remastered, best of... _________________ Even the stars look brighter tonight

I'd rather be an optimist here. Prefer to be disappointed but at least hoping for something rather sooner than later.
Let's face it... They know they are not getting any younger, eh? So I'm thinking, either something sooner or nothing at all... _________________ Gahan/DM forum |

What we need is the return of Alan, to me he was the one with the poppy touch that added everything to the dark side of Martin. You can see that in the DVDs of the reissues.
Alan please !! come back !! and Flood and Gareth Jones too... _________________ A world full of nothing |

100 % agree with bull666! Alan's input in DM is unvaluable! He has always been the artistic director of DM for years.
I miss the good old DM textures and moods like "Shake the Disease"...
I would really love the next album to be as dark and innovative as "Some Great Reward" or "Black Celebration".
I don't like to see DM going into the mainstream with "quiet" and "commercial" songs...I like when they show up their rebel side |
