I guess he's got a pretty big influence on the bands' live sound, I really love his "heavy" drumming...

I think that Eigner and Gordeno should both focus on keeping the dm traditional sound instead of showboating their individual talents. They're not full band members (yet...) 
This is especially evident in the Exciter tour shows. Christian clanging away during the intro to I Feel You and Peter overdoing the aggro part of NLMDA. I really miss the tape sometimes.  |

Really for all intents and purposes, Eigner is basically the fourth member of the band. He has writing credits on Angel, has performed in some way continously with depeche since Ultra. Now granted he has mentioned hesitation to joining the band full time but he didn't say no to it either.
Just a thought...
